The recent apple recipe

It's hardly an apple recipe at all. It was very good though. This is a recipe of my mom's that I hadn't had in years. I remembered it when thinking of apple ideas and called her up for the details. I think I've eaten 1/2 the cake myself!
















Apple Cocoa Cake
Mom

3 eggs
2 c sugar
1 c butter
1/2 c water
~~Cream until fluffy

2 1/2 c flour
2 T cocoa
1 tsp Baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp allspice
~~Sift together, then add to creamed mixture

1 C chocolate chips
2 apples grated to equal 2 cups
1 tsp vanilla
~~Fold in until evenly distributed.

~~Bake at 325 for 60-70 minutes

Good when frosted with cream cheese frosting.
